What is your favorite home brew beer recipe?

I like ales and stouts…what are some good ones?

ah, there’s too many that are good. I like specialty beers probably the most. I make a blueberry pale ale, a raspberry wheat, a pumpkin ale, a ginger IPA, a green tea wheat, a molasses porter. All of them are excellent, but then the non-specialty beers I make I really like as well. Mostly ales, but have made a few lagers that turned out really good. I have an oatmeal stout and a german style pilsner on tap at the moment. I have a chipotle smoked strong ale I need to bottle and see how its turned out. I used some smoked grains, and then chipotles (smoked jalepenos). I’m looking forward to that one.

I just get inspired when I’m playing with my grain to mix whatever I think will end up pretty good. This usually turns out pretty good.

Cheers!

  1. Can’t help you. I have made home brew, including a few batches of ales. But I like lager when it’s brewed correctly. So I’ll give you a link. Good luck.

  4. My favorite is a bock that is halfway between an American and a German bock (Mid-Atlantic Ridge bock?). My doublebock comes in a close second and has gotten more praise from friends. If I can ever duplicate the taste of Orval’s La Petite (house beer), that will become my new favorite. I’m still trying to get the perfect hefeweisen too.
