How do you brew Belgian beer "trappist monk style?"?

These monks brew supposedly, the best beers in the world. How do they make it, and what is so special about how they do it differently from any other brewer?


I’m not sure, but I imagine it involves wearing a robe and taking a vow of celibacy.
