Hei, Liked the video. I’m an all-grain brewer but started off doing exactly what you are doing with extract. The missus loves this cherry beer you can buy and making cheap fruit beers, so I tend to creep back to this method for her… i’ll have to make her watch this video so she can make it herself lol

The dextrose I use it corn sugar. Also, it depends on the kind of malt extract how much you use for a batch. I can’t say, I just use a can and sometimes 500g of dry malt.

Hello from Norway :D I’m just wondering if dextrose is the same as grape sugar? And is 1,5 kilos of malt extract enough for this kind of brewing?
Thanks for all the good tips!!!!

  19. Plan on getting a …
Plan on getting a lot of fusel alcohols, excess ester and phenol production, and an awful headache after you’re done drinking the beer. Make a starter and pitch in the 60’s. Control your ferment and keep the temperature of your beer under 70* the entire time.

Yes it is fermenting “bubbling through the airlock”. Good news! Do you think that it will taste good? One that I know is that I wont do that again!

Don’t let it sit over night or anything, it will get infected. Lift the bucket into a large sink full of cold water and stir until it cools, not longer than a hour covered.

  22. ooooo, that could …
ooooo, that could be a problem. If it ferments, you’re lucky, and it might. Yeast usually dies outside of certain temp ranges. That is marginally outside the range. I hope it works out. If you haven’t pitched the yeast yet, get some ice cubes and cool it as much as possible.

Hi Craig! Awesome video! I just started brewing first time today and I made the mistake of leaving the bath room faucet on too hot. What will happen If I put the yeast in when the wart is too hot? Dont have a good temp gauge but about 95 Deg?
