    Hey Craig,
I was wondering if you have ever used corn syrup as your fermentable. I was thinking about using karo light corn syrup. I can get 3 16 oz. bottles for under 5 $. alot cheaper than DME. But, would it give it a cidery taste? or would it even be worth the savings? I would probably be using it with a coopers lager or Muntons american light. Thanks…

  6. Regarding the …
Regarding the single-stage vs two-stage debate – I usually don’t bother putting my ales into a secondary, but I do with my lagers. Lagers are generally a more clear beer and this helps a lot. Unless youleave them in too long, there’ll still be plenty of little yeasties in there to help carbonate the beer. I think temperature has more to do with that anyway. Interesting vid as always Craig – thanks!

  9. Glass shape has …
Glass shape has some impact on head retention. High Ball style glasses are not the best. Good trick to get any glass to keep a head is to get a small piece of sand paper and tape it to the top of a pencil or anything thats long enough to go into your glass. Then right at the bottom of the glass, scratch the surface gentle a bit. works a treat!

Well, the best way to talk online is Skype. It’s free and that’s what I use. You need a microphone. My user name is craigtalk1. Let me know when you’ll be on. If you have a web cam, that’s even better.

    Hey Craig,

Nice video! I’ve been watching your videos for a while now, first time I comment though. I’m from holland and you might know ‘Heineken’. It’s a very famous beer, at least in Europe. (I don’t like it =P) but I think that Black Rock is a bit like Heineken and that you need to drink it ice cold, when it’s hot outside.

I’m thinking of trying homebrewing this summer, to see if I like it, so I’d really like you to do that remake of the easy home brewing series.

    Cheers, keep it up!

    Hey Craig,
Good video, thanks for everything you are doing for us beginners. I’ll bet you are happy you’ve finally found a brew that didn’t tickle your fancy =P

I’m looking forward with much anticipation regarding your maple syrup brew, I hope that it goes well.

Finally I just want to throw in a push for you to make some mead, I’m really hoping to make a batch for this summer and I would love to have your comments/input/experience on hand before I begin the brew.

    Cheers !

Hi Craig. Thanks for another nice review. Do you leave your beers to sit in bottles in worm place and then before you drink you put them in the fridge? Did I get it right?
    Thanks again.
